Every year when the strawberries started to come in, my mom would make this cool, refreshing dessert. I've seen it made with canned cherries or pie filling as well. Mom always made her own sugar cookie base, but I've found that the prepared sugar cookie dough works just as well.

Steps:
- 1. Prepare Crust: Roll out cookie dough to fit a 12" pizza pan and bake according to package instructions or your own recipe until lightly golden. Cool completely.
- 2. Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Spread over crust. Arrange 2 cups sliced strawberries over filling.
- 3. Glaze: In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch and crushed berries until blended. Bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes until thickened.
- 4. Cool slightly. Spoon over strawberries and refrigerate until serving.
