Steps:
- 1. Cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg.
- 2. Combine flour and baking powder. Add to butter and egg mixture.
- 3. In a greased pie pan or pastry dish, press the pastry dough into place covering the bottom and sides.
- 4. Spread strawberries into the dish. Sprinkle berries with sugar.
- 5. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.
