Number Of Ingredients 10

1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 quarts whole strawberries, capped and washed
4 ounces cream cheese, cut into small pieces
Plain Greek yogurt or vanilla ice cream for serving, optional

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter and pour into a 9x13-inch glass baking dish. In a small bowl, mix together the egg, milk, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Pour mixture directly over the butter in the baking dish, but do NOT stir. Add the strawberries, arranging in a single layer as much as possible. Sprinkle cream cheese pieces over strawberries. Place in preheated oven and bake for 45 minutes, or until top is golden brown and edges are bubbling. (Crust rises up and around the fruit, but fruit will still peek out of top.) Serve hot with yogurt or ice cream if desired.

I made this cobbler for a party and it was a big hit! Everyone loved it, and I even got several requests for the recipe. The cobbler was easy to make and it turned out perfectly. I highly recommend this recipe!

I made this cobbler with blueberries instead of strawberries, and it was delicious! The blueberries were tart and flavorful, and they paired perfectly with the cream cheese filling. I will definitely be making this cobbler again with different fruits

This cobbler was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was still very good. The strawberries were fresh and juicy, and the cream cheese filling was smooth and creamy. I would recommend reducing the amount of sugar in the recipe by about 1/4 cup.
