Number Of Ingredients 16

PIE DOUGH:
4 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1 1/4 cup cheese (Monterey/Colby Blend)
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon Rosemary
2 teaspoons salt, to taste
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1/2 onion, diced
6 to 7 medium-sized mushrooms, sliced
3 cups spinach, washed, drained, and chopped
1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cold butter
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
4 to 5 tablespoons cold water

Steps:

  • In a clean bowl, crack and add your eggs. Add milk. Add cheese. Mix the three ingredients. Add salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary. Mix well. Over medium-high heat, place a large pan and add olive oil. Once hot, add onions. Once onions turn a bit translucent, add mushrooms. Once mushrooms start to darken in color, add spinach. Let spinach cook down, then remove from heat and cool. Once cool, add spinach-mushroom mixture to the bowl with the egg mixture. Mix until combined. Remove pie dough from fridge and place on well-floured surface. Roll dough out and place in quiche/flan tin. Trim dough extras and place quiche filling to pan. Cook at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, or until filling has set and top has slightly browned. Cool slightly, and enjoy!

This quiche was a disaster! I followed the recipe exactly, but it still turned out terrible. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my quiche didn't turn out very well. The crust was soggy and the filling was bland.

This quiche took longer to cook than the recipe said it would. I had to add an extra 10 minutes to the cooking time.

The instructions for this quiche were a bit confusing. I think they could have been written more clearly.

I found this quiche to be a bit too oily. I think I would have drained the spinach and mushrooms more thoroughly before adding them to the quiche.

The crust on this quiche was a bit too thick for my liking. I think I would have preferred a thinner, flakier crust.

This quiche was a bit bland for my taste. I think I would have liked it better if I had added some more salt and pepper.

This quiche is so easy to make, and it's always a hit. I often add a few extra vegetables, like chopped zucchini or bell pepper, to bulk it up.

I'm not a huge fan of quiche, but this recipe changed my mind. The spinach and mushrooms added so much flavor and moisture, and the crust was perfectly cooked. I'll be making this again for sure!

This quiche was a hit at my last dinner party! The flavors of the spinach, mushrooms, and cheese blended perfectly, and the crust was flaky and golden brown. I'll definitely be making this again.
