Spiced 'shake 'n' Bake' Pita Chips image

My dad LOVES these! And he LOVES regular, unhealthy potato chips, so I'm MORE than happy to make these for him. We both like things spicy. I suggest serving with Laura Divine's Low Fat Hummus (40517). Adjust spices to your taste - they are just estimates anyway - I do spices by the senses - feel, smell, and look. Can be easily doubled, tripled, etc - just need to do the oven steps a couple more times to account for the extra chips. Optional Equipment: spray bottle filled with water

These pita chips were a bit too oily for my taste. I think I would have preferred them if they had been baked instead of fried.

These pita chips are a great way to use up leftover pita bread. They're also a healthier alternative to potato chips.

These pita chips were a bit bland for my taste. I think I would have liked them more if I had added more spices.
