This is a quick, easy & favorite local dish just about every body makes here in Hawaii. I make it about once a week. My family loves it on fresh cooked rice... I have kind of wonder how much calories & so forth are in my recipes. Now taht am on a diet. Am adding them up. So Am gonna add in the calorie count on all that I can.

Steps:
- 1. Clean & shred the cabbage.
- 2. Put in a large pot with enough water to cover all the cabbage.
- 3. Season with salt, pepper, bay leaf & soy sauce.
- 4. Boil until cabbage is almost tender.
- 5. Add in the spam & cook for about 10 mins more.
