Spaghetti Squash Alfredo with Sausage and Walnuts image

Low-carb friendly. Creamy, crunchy, and savory. A nice combination that is also filling. Served garnished with Parmesan cheese and sage or parsley.

1 large spaghetti squash, halved and seeded
2 tablespoons butter
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 (8 ounce) package walnuts
1 pinch salt
1 pound Italian sausage, cut into chunks
