1 lb ground beef
1 large onion, chopped
1 medium green pepper, chopped
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can beef broth
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
3/4 cup uncooked rice
1 tablespoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Steps:

  • In skillet, cook beef, onions and peppers until beef is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain.
  • Stir in broth, tomato sauce, rice, chili powder and garlic powder. Heat to boiling. Cover; cook over low heat for 20 minutes or until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed; stir occasionally.
  • Serve with cheese and sour cream, if desired.
