Sockerkaka-Swedish Butter cake image

This is a recipe I got from an old Estonian women who had lived in Sweden. It's really good and rich. I like serving it with Fruit butter between the layers and on top. Dusted with powdered sugar.

I'm not a big fan of butter cakes, but this one was really good. It was moist and flavorful, and the glaze was the perfect finishing touch.

I tried making this cake gluten-free, but it didn't turn out well. The texture was crumbly and it didn't hold together.
