- Spread sauerkraut into the bottom of a slow cooker crock. Arrange knockwurst atop the sauerkraut. Pour beer over the knockwurst.
- Cook on Low for 5 hours.
- Put apples into the slow cooker and continue cooking for 1 hour more.
