Slow Cooker Knockwurst with Sauerkraut and Apples image

Wonderfully warm German comfort food that's a cinch to prepare.

1 (20 ounce) can sauerkraut
1 (16 ounce) package knockwurst
1 cup dark German beer
3 apples, peeled and cored

Steps:

  • Spread sauerkraut into the bottom of a slow cooker crock. Arrange knockwurst atop the sauerkraut. Pour beer over the knockwurst.
  • Cook on Low for 5 hours.
  • Put apples into the slow cooker and continue cooking for 1 hour more.
