Don't like sweet peppers? In their place, try a sprig of rosemary for more flavor. I've not added salt for fear some would think it too salty, but my preference is to salt lightly. The roast and juices are perfect for a New Orleans-style "roast beef on French". Great for football parties, etc. Can be made ahead, frozen and rewarmed.

This recipe was a complete waste of time. The beef was dry and flavorless, and the au jus was nothing more than salty water. I would not recommend this recipe to anyone.

This recipe was a disaster! The beef was tough and chewy, and the au jus was watery and flavorless. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what went wrong.

This recipe was a bit bland for my taste, but it had potential. The beef was tender and flavorful, but the au jus was lacking in flavor. I would recommend adding more herbs and spices to the au jus next time.

This recipe was a bit too salty for my taste, but otherwise it was very good. The beef was tender and flavorful, and the au jus was rich and flavorful. I would recommend using less salt next time.

I'm not usually a fan of slow cooker meals, but this one changed my mind. The beef was so fall-apart tender, and the au jus was rich and flavorful. I'll definitely be making this again.
