Yield 4

Number Of Ingredients 7

nonstick cooking spray
1 tablespoon butter, softened
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
⅛ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Steps:

  • Set an oven rack 4 to 6 inches from the heat source and preheat the oven's broiler. Spray a broiler pan with cooking spray.
  • Combine butter, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper in a small bowl; mix until well blended.
  • Place chicken on the prepared pan and brush with 1/2 of the butter mixture.
  • Broil in the preheated oven for 6 minutes. Turn chicken, brush with remaining butter mixture, and broil until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, about 6 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

This recipe is a great starting point, but I like to add a few extra spices to the marinade. I also like to cook the chicken for a few minutes longer so that it gets a nice crispy skin.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my chicken came out tough and dry. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what happened.

This recipe was just okay. The chicken was a little dry, and the marinade didn't really penetrate the meat. I might try it again with a different marinade.

I wasn't impressed with this recipe. The chicken was dry and bland, and the marinade didn't add much flavor. I won't be making this again.

These chicken breasts were delicious! I used a store-bought marinade, and they still came out great. I will definitely be making this recipe again.

This recipe was a hit! I marinated the chicken breasts for about 2 hours before cooking, and they came out so juicy and flavorful. I served them with roasted vegetables, and it was a delicious and healthy meal.
