Shrimp in Lobster-Style Sauce image

This is my version of Madame Wong's "Lobster Cantonese". I came up with this when my husband asked me to cook one of his chinese restaurant favorites, 'shrimp in lobster sauce'. I know it looks like a long list of ingredients and steps but once you have all the ingredients ready, the cooking goes fast.

This dish was a bit too spicy for my taste, but otherwise it was delicious. I would recommend using less cayenne pepper next time.

This recipe was a bit too complicated for me. I ended up burning the shrimp and the sauce was too salty. I would not recommend this recipe to beginners.

I had to make a few substitutions because I didn't have all of the ingredients, but the dish still turned out great. I used chicken broth instead of seafood stock and cornstarch instead of flour to thicken the sauce. I also added a bit of cayenne pep
