Shrimp Bisque Soup from Gurney's Restaurant image

This is a rich and delicious bisque from Lloyd and Nancy Gurney/Gurney's Restaurant in Hailey, Idaho. I found the recipe in Sun Valley Celebrity and Local Heroes Cookbook. Serving size is esimated because it wasn't listed. Keep in mind, you'll want seconds...

This soup was very easy to make and it turned out delicious! I used frozen shrimp and it worked just fine. I also added a bit of cayenne pepper to the soup for a little bit of spice. It was a great way to warm up on a cold day.

I followed the recipe exactly and the soup turned out great! The only thing I would change is to add a bit more salt to the soup. Other than that, it was perfect.

This soup was a bit too rich for my taste. The shrimp flavor was overpowering and the bisque was very thick. I would recommend using less shrimp or adding more liquid to the soup.

I'm not a huge fan of seafood, but I really enjoyed this soup. The shrimp flavor was subtle and the bisque was very creamy. I would definitely recommend this soup to others.
