Shredded Italian Beef or Venison Sandwiches image

Easy to make but it does take some time to make because it is slow cooked in a crockpot. It is delicious and easy!

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp basil
1 c italian dressing
2 c water
5 lb venison or beef roast

Steps:

  • 1. Mix together all ingredients, except the roast, in a bowl. Set aside.
  • 2. Put roast into crockpot.
  • 3. Pour mixture over roast.
  • 4. Cook on low in the crockpot for 8 hours.
  • 5. Remove the meat, shred it with forks and return to the crockpot for 30 minutes.
  • 6. Serve on hoagie buns.
