This is actually one of my grandma's recipes. It is one of her newer ones (it's only about 20 years old). She doesn't cook that much anymore which is a pity because she is a great cook.

I added some vegetables to the Shanghai beef, and it was a great way to get my kids to eat their veggies. They loved the Shanghai beef, and they even asked for seconds.

I used a different cut of beef than the recipe called for, and it turned out great. The beef was still tender and juicy, and the sauce was flavorful and tangy. I'm glad I experimented!

I'm not a fan of spicy food, so I omitted the chili sauce. The Shanghai beef was still delicious, but it was a bit bland. I'll add a little bit of chili sauce next time.

This recipe is a great way to use up leftover beef. I had some flank steak that I needed to use up, and this dish was the perfect solution. It was quick and easy to make, and it tasted delicious.

I used flank steak instead of sirloin, and it worked out perfectly. The beef was still tender and flavorful. I also added a few extra vegetables, like bell peppers and carrots.

I've tried many Shanghai beef recipes, but this one is by far the best. The addition of the Shaoxing wine and ginger really gives it an authentic flavor. I highly recommend this recipe!
