Shake N' Bake Pork Chops image

My Grandsons love shake n' bake anything so during their last visit I made them my homemade version and they loved it, gnawing them right down to the bone. Being a cancer survivor, I taught myself how to make homemade versions of this popular coating that my family enjoys.

Time 35m

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 1/2 c panko breadcrumbs
1/3 c seasoned breadcrumbs
1 tsp garlic sea salt
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp ground turmeric
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
7-8 bone-in pork chops

Steps:

  • 1. Combine the first 6 ingredients in a ziploc bag. Fill a bowl full of water and take each chop and dip in the water then shake in the coating. Place on a greased tinfoil lined baking sheet. Let them sit for 10 minutes.

These pork chops were a bit dry, but the flavor was still good. I think I'll try cooking them for a shorter amount of time next time.

I'm not a big fan of pork chops, but I tried this recipe and I was pleasantly surprised. The pork chops were tender and juicy, and the breading was crispy and flavorful. I'll definitely be making this recipe again.

These pork chops were good, but I think I would have liked them better if I had used a different breading. The breading I used was a little too bland for my taste.
