Seared Scallops with Garlic Butter image

Quick and easy dish and so delicious

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb sea scallops
1 Tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper
4 Tbsp butter
2 tsp garlic minced
1 Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp chopped cilantro or parsley

Steps:

  • 1. Pat the scallops dry and season salt and pepper. Add oil to a hot skillet cast iron is best. Sear the scallops for about 2 minutes each side. Remove from pan and set aside
  • 2. Add the butter to the pan. Stir in the garlic and cook 30 seconds. Return the scallops to the pan. Add the lemon juice and cilantro. Serve immediately

The scallops were a little tough, but the sauce was delicious. I would make this again, but I would try to find a way to make the scallops more tender.
