Seafood Casserole image

I originally got this recipe from one of my best friends who got it from her mother-in-law while we still lived in Iowa. It's really easy to make and very delicious.

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 pkg uncle ben's wild rice and long grain rice mix
1 can(s) cream of mushroom soup
10 oz shrimp, frozen and cooked
1 can(s) crabmeat
1 c slivered almonds
1 c bread crumbs, regular
1/2 c butter
1 pkg 8 ounces medium cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F.
  • 2. Cook the Uncle Ben's wild and long grain rice mix according to package directions.
  • 3. Place the rice in a large mixing bowl and add the mushroom soup, the cooked shrimp, the can of crabmeat, the almonds, and the cheddar cheese.
  • 4. Pour the mixture into a medium-sized baking dish.
  • 5. Sprinkle the top with bread crumbs.
  • 6. Melt the butter in the microwave or in a small saucepan on top of the stove.
  • 7. Pour over the bread crumbs.
  • 8. Bake for 30 minutes.
