Steps:
- Cook bacon in large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until crisp, about 8-10 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, transfer bacon to large bowl (reserve drippings in skillet). Add potatoes to bacon, toss to combine. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Preheat broiler. Melt butter in same skillet with bacon drippings over medium heat. Form potato mixture into four 4-inch-diameter patties. Add potatoes to skillet. Cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6 minutes per side. Transfer patties to baking sheet. Sprinkle cheese on top of patties. Broil patties until cheese melts, about 1 minute. Remove from broiler and serve.

[email protected]This rösti was a disappointment. It was bland and greasy. I won't be making it again.

[email protected]This recipe is a great way to use up leftover potatoes. I always have a few potatoes left over after making mashed potatoes, and this is the perfect way to use them up.
Samir Bhai
[email protected]I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my rösti turned out mushy instead of crispy. I think I might have grated the potatoes too finely.
Gannah Ahmed
[email protected]This rösti was a bit too oily for my taste. I think I would have preferred it if I had used less butter.

[email protected]Not bad! I liked the crispy texture of the rösti, but I thought the flavor was a bit bland. Next time, I'll try adding some herbs or spices to the potatoes before cooking.

[email protected]Meh. This rösti was just okay. It wasn't as crispy as I would have liked, and the cheese was a bit too strong for my taste.

[email protected]This was my first time making rösti, and it was easier than I thought! The hardest part was getting the potatoes grated, but once that was done, the rest of the recipe came together quickly. I loved the cheesy, crispy result.

[email protected]5/5 stars! This rösti was delicious. I especially loved the crispy edges. I served it with a side of sour cream and applesauce, and it was the perfect comfort food.

[email protected]This rösti was a hit! I followed the recipe exactly and it turned out perfectly. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the melted Gruyère cheese was the perfect finishing touch.
