Rosemary Almonds image

I saw someone on FTV making these, and thought I'd try them. They made them with cashews - I used both blanched and unblanched almonds. These are really addictive. Don't substitute light brown sugar for the dark. Don't substitute dry rosemary for fresh.

Time 13m

Yield 1 1/2 pounds

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/2 lb whole unblanched almond (still in their brown skin)
3/4 lb whole blanched almond
2 tablespoons chopped fresh rosemary
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon melted butter

Steps:

  • Spread the almonds in a single layer on a baking sheet and toast at 350°F until they become fragrant and lightly toasted- about 8- 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, mix the remaining ingredients in a large bowl (big enough to hold all of the almonds).
  • When the almonds are toasted done, toss them immediately with the rosemary mixture (while they are still hot!).
  • Toss thoroughly.
  • Let cool, and toss again to break them up a bit (the sugar will cause them to stick together until they cool, then they will stay separate).
  • Store in an airtight container or serve slightly warm.
  • NOTE: You can substitute any kind of nut, or a mix of nuts. Just make sure the nuts are raw and unsalted. You need about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds of nuts in total.

These rosemary almonds are the worst thing I've ever eaten. They're burnt and they taste like chemicals. I'm never making these again.

I'm not sure how I feel about these rosemary almonds. They're not bad, but they're not great either. I think I'll try a different recipe next time.

I'm allergic to almonds, so I can't eat these. But they look delicious!

These rosemary almonds are a great snack, but they're a little too oily for my taste. I think I'll try making them with less oil next time.

Overall, I thought these rosemary almonds were a good snack. They're easy to make and they have a nice flavor. However, I think they're a little too expensive for what you get.

I followed the recipe exactly, but my almonds didn't turn out as crispy as I would have liked. I think I'll roast them for a few minutes longer next time.

These rosemary almonds are a little too salty for my taste. I think I'll use less salt next time.

I'm not a huge fan of rosemary, but I actually really enjoyed these almonds. The flavor is subtle and not overpowering.

I made these rosemary almonds for my hiking trip, and they were the perfect snack! They're lightweight and portable, and they gave me a much-needed energy boost. I'll definitely be making these again for my next adventure.

These rosemary almonds are the perfect crunchy, savory snack! They're so easy to make, and the flavor is amazing. I love that they're a healthy alternative to other snacks, and they're also a great way to use up leftover rosemary.
