Steps:
- Oven 400 degrees, center oven. Place butter in pan large enough to hold pears. Put butter in pan in oven long enough to melt. Srinkle sugar over butter, then place pears, cut side down, on top. Bake until tender, about 30 min. Remove pan from oven, turn over pears and baste with pan sauce. Add cream if desired.Return to oven, bake till glossy, about 10 min., let cool slightly. transfer to bowl and drizzle with sour cream and nuts.
