Ricotta-Raisin Coffee Cake image

These few ingredients go together quickly so I can have a warm coffee cake to serve overnight guests for breakfast. If you don't have or don't like cardamom, substitute any sweet spice. I recommend ground nutmeg, cinnamon or allspice. -Carol Gaus, Elk Grove Village, Illinois

This recipe is a fail. The cake was dense and gummy.

The cake didn't rise very well. I'm not sure what I did wrong.

The cake was a little bland. I think I would add some more spices next time, like cinnamon or nutmeg.

I found the cake to be a little dry. I think I would add some extra moisture next time, maybe some sour cream or yogurt.
