Ramen Oriental Salad image

A different flavored dish to replace the old standby potato or macaroni salad.

1 head napa cabbage, sliced thin
1 pkg ramen noodles, set aside seasoning packet
4 green onions, chopped
1/2 c sunflower seeds
1/2 c slivered almonds
2 tsp sesame seeds
DRESSING:
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2 c oil
3 Tbsp cider vinegar
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp salt and pepper
1 pkg ramen noodle seasoning packet

Steps:

  • 1. Melt 1/4 c. butter in skillet. Add crushed Ramen noodles, saute until slightly browned. Add seeds and almonds and stir in to coat. Remove from heat and cool. Mix in cabbage and onions. Cover and refrigerate. Make dressing.
  • 2. Pour dressing over mix right before serving to keep noodles crunchy. Toss and serve.
