Quick & Easy Egg Casserole Recipe - (3.9/5) image

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 lb. breakfast sausage
2 cups shredded reduced fat Cheddar cheese
16 oz. liquid eggs
2 cup 1% milk
1 sliced red pepper
chopped basil
6 slices bread, cut into 1-inch cubes
salt & Pepper to taste

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook crumbled sausage in large skillet on medium heat until brown, stirring occasionally. Drain sausage. Spread in lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle cheese over sausage. Arrange bread cubes evenly over mixture. Beat eggs,milk and basil, salt and pepper in medium bowl. Pour over cheese. Bake, uncovered, 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 10 minutes before serving
