A lot of my cooking is inspired from my Portuguese heritage. My hometown of Fall River, Massachusetts has a great Portuguese population. And we also have some amazing Portuguese restaurants that feature this dish. This is my version that I make at home.

I'm not a big fan of Portuguese steak, but this recipe was pretty good. I might make it again.

I've tried this recipe twice now and both times the steak was overcooked. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

I followed the recipe exactly and the steak turned out tough and chewy. I'm not sure what went wrong.
