Portobello Burger with Muffuletta Topping image

A tasty tomato-olive mixture, melty cheese and smoky grilled mushroom add so much flavor to this recipe that one taster called it "one of the best mushroom burgers I've had." For a change, switch another cheese or spinach for the provolone and lettuce. -Tamra Duncan, Lincoln, Arkansas

This burger is a little messier than I would like, but it has a great flavor. I'd try it again, but I might make the topping a little differently.

This recipe was a great way to use up some of the garden-fresh tomatoes that I had on hand.

I could use a little something more in this dish. Maybe adding some diced chilies or chopped onions to the topping would help.

This is a good burger. The topping has a nice balance of salty and garlicky flavor.

I liked that this recipe was really fast to make. I didn't have a lot of time to cook this week, but I had a burger on the table in less than 20 minutes.

This burger turned out a little dry for my taste. I might try adding some spices to the mixture next time.

My husband and I gave this recipe a try last weekend. He doesn't usually like to try new recipes, but he liked this burger a lot. We're planning to make it again for our friends this weekend.

This burger was the star of our last backyard cookout. We were surprised at how a relatively simple combination of ingredients could be so flavorful and juicy. This recipe is now our go-to burger recipe.
