Most unusual cookies, but very tasty. My SIL made this the first time about 25 years ago, the whole family loves it. Especially because of how little sugar is in it. I think that she got it from the Quaker Oats company back then.

These were disappointing. The dough was tough and the filling was bland. I won't be making these again.

These were a bit too sweet for my liking. I think I would use less sugar in the filling next time.

These were a little bland for my taste. I think I would add some cinnamon or nutmeg to the filling next time.

Just made these and they are delicious! I used Granny Smith apples and they were the perfect tartness to balance out the sweetness of the filling. The dough was also very easy to work with.
