Portabella Mushroom and Tomato Sandwich image

What a summer time sandwich, good anytime! This makes a great patio lunch with friends or guests. Looks just like a California lunch, with maybe some sprouts or avocados! Use just the caps of the muchroom; the stems are woody and tough.Put the stems in a zip loc bag and put in freezer for soups or sauces.

I would have liked the sandwich more if the mushrooms were cooked a little longer. They were a bit too chewy for my taste.

This is a great vegetarian sandwich option. It's filling and flavorful, and the mushrooms are a good source of protein.

I'm not a big fan of mushrooms, but I really enjoyed this sandwich. The tomatoes and cheese helped to balance out the flavor of the mushrooms.

This sandwich was easy to make and packed with flavor. I used a whole wheat bun instead of white bread and it was still delicious.

I followed the recipe exactly and the sandwich turned out great! The mushrooms were juicy and flavorful, and the tomatoes added a nice tang. The cheese melted perfectly and held everything together.

This portabella mushroom and tomato sandwich was a delight! The flavors of the mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheese blended perfectly, and the bread was toasted to perfection. I'll definitely be making this sandwich again.
