Pork Rites (Taverns) image

Similar to a sloppy joe but the pork gives it an unique flavor.

2 pounds ground pork
1 cup ketchup
½ cup water
2 tablespoons vinegar
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon salt
12 hamburger buns

Steps:

  • Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground pork in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease.
  • Stir ketchup, water, vinegar, brown sugar, dry mustard, and salt into the ground beef; bring to a simmer and cook for 20 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.
