Steps:
- 1. Stir together all ingredients in a pitcher until sugar is dissolved, then add about 2 cups ice cubes and stir until very cold.
- 2. Pour daiquiris through a sieve into Martini glasses.
- 3. Cooks' note: For a more striking presentation, you can spread some sugar on a plate, then rub rims of glasses with a wedge of lime and dip into sugar.
