PENNE WITH FIVE CHEESES image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup canned crushed tomatoes in puree
1/4 cup grated Pecorino Romano
1/4 cup shredded fontina
2 T crumbled Gorgonzola
1 T ricotta
2 oz. sliced mozzarella
3 chopped fresh basil leaves
1/2 lb penne pasta
butter

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 500-degrees. Combine heavy cream, tomatoes, cheeses and basil together, mixing well. Cook penne pasta in boiling water for 4 minutes, drain well, and add to cheese mix, tossing to combine. Divide the mixture into two shallow gratin baking dishes. Dot each dish with 3/4 T of butter, adn bake for 7-10 minutes or until bubbly and brown on top.
