Pecan-Pear Tossed Salad image

To save time, I prepare the ingredients and dressing the day before, then combine them just before serving. This salad has become a star at family gatherings. Once, when I forgot to bring it, dinner was postponed so I could go home and get it! -Marjean Claassen, Sedgwick, Kansas

This salad was just okay. The pears were a bit too soft and the pecans were a bit too crunchy. The dressing was also a bit bland. I think I will try a different recipe next time.

This salad was a bit too sweet for my taste, but I think that's because I used very ripe pears. I will try using less ripe pears or adding some tart apples to balance out the sweetness next time.
