PECAN PEAR STUFFING image

1 c sweet butter
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 large celery stalks, finely diced
1 tbl fresh flat leaf parsley
1 tsp fresh sage, finely chopped
salt and freshly ground pepper
2 c chicken broth
1 15 oz pkg bread cubes-unseasoned-for stuffing
1/2 c pecan pieces
2 firm,ripe, unpeeled pears chopped into 1/2 inch pieces`

Steps:

  • melt butter in saucepan saute onion and celery until translucent-ab out 3 minutes add parsley,sage,salt and pepper-saute 1 minute add chicken broth and simmer 2 minutes add bread cubes, pecan and pears mix well to moinsten cubes
