Pecan Cobbler image

my aunt can make the best pecan cobbler there ever is

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 c butter
1 c pecans
1 pkg white cake mix
1 1/2 c packed light brown sugar
1 3/4 c hot water
ice cream

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350.
  • 2. In a 9x13 inch cake pan or casserole dish, place the butter and put in the oven to melt.
  • 3. Once butter is melted, sprinkle the pecans over the butter.
  • 4. Spread the dry cake mix evenly over pecans, do not stir. Next spread the brown sugar over the cake mix.
  • 5. Carefully pour the hot water over the mixture, do not stir.
  • 6. Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Best served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

I would definitely make this cobbler again, but I would make a few changes. I would use less sugar in the filling and I would try a different crust recipe.
