This is a simple and classic combination and is a great way to get the non-pea fans out there to scarf them up. If you mince the bacon fine enough it's also a great way to trick vegans into eating pork, but they usually don't find it very funny.

Time 10m

Yield 6 servings

Number Of Ingredients 3

3 slices bacon, chopped
1 pound frozen peas
Kosher salt

Steps:

  • Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until rendered and crisp, about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat so the pan doesn't splatter when you add the peas (they can come straight from the freezer). Stir in the peas and turn the stove back on to heat them through, about 1 minute. Season with salt to taste.
