Pear Bread image

My father-in-law has a pear tree in his yard and brought me over a garbage sack of ripe pears one day. I found this recipe in an old recipe book my mother had. I gave away and froze the remaining bread for another day! Great with coffee in the morning or an afternoon snack!

This bread is a little too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try reducing the amount of sugar next time.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my bread turned out dry and dense. I followed the recipe exactly, so I'm not sure what happened.

This bread is a great way to use up leftover pears. I also like to add a handful of chopped walnuts for extra crunch.

I'm not a big fan of pears, but this bread was really good. The pear flavor is subtle, and the bread is very moist.

I love how easy this recipe is to follow. I'm not much of a baker, but I was able to make this bread without any problems.

This pear bread is simply divine! The texture is perfectly moist and fluffy, and the pear flavor is just the right balance of sweet and tart.
