Peanut Butter Pinecones image

I received this recipe from my mother, who called them "gofer balls." I added the sliced almonds to make them look like pine cones. They are wonderful by themselves or as a garnish for a cake or pie. -Betty MacArthur, Portland, Oregon

These pinecones are a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try making them with less sugar next time.

I'm not a big fan of peanut butter, but I still enjoyed these pinecones. The chocolate and toffee chips help to balance out the peanut butter flavor.

These pinecones are a great way to use up leftover peanut butter. I always have a jar of peanut butter in my pantry, so it's nice to have a recipe that uses it up.

These pinecones are the perfect size for a party appetizer. They're small enough to eat in one or two bites, but they're still satisfying.
