Peanut Butter Cookies With Turbinado Sugar image

This is a great cookie to pack for a lunch or to take on a hike. Whole wheat flour and turbinado sugar give the cookie a wonderful texture as well as making it lower in fat and higher in protein for a peanut butter cookie that is more nutritious. TIP: The natural peanut butter is what gives these cookies a rich nutty taste. Made from only freshly roasted peanuts and no sugar, it makes these cookies not too sweet allowing the flavor of the peanuts to shine -

Overall, I thought these cookies were just okay. They weren't bad, but they weren't anything special either.

These cookies are a bit too sweet for my taste. I think I'll try using less sugar next time.

I'm not sure what I did wrong, but my cookies turned out dry and crumbly. I think I may have overmixed the dough.

I've tried many peanut butter cookie recipes, but this one is my favorite. The turbinado sugar gives them a nice crunch.
