Peach Shakes image

This fruit-filled smoothie is a good source of protein for kids and babies 1 year old and older.

Yield Makes 2 1/2 cups

Number Of Ingredients 4

4 medium peaches (about 1 pound)
6 ounces soft tofu
1/3 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Steps:

  • Prepare an ice bath. Bring a medium saucepan of water to a boil. Score an X in the bottom of the peaches; place in boiling water 30 seconds. Using a slotted spoon, transfer peaches to ice bath; let cool completely. Drain; peel peaches, starting at the X. Cut into quarters, and remove pits.
  • Place peaches in the jar of a blender, and add tofu, orange juice, and honey, if using. Puree until smooth. Serve.
