Peach Cobbler image

This is one of my families favorites. The ingredients are simple items that are usually in everyones pantry. I usually keep a couple bags of frozen fruit in the freezer in case I need to throw something together in a hurry. If you take it to a family gathering or church potluck it's one of the first things to disappear. Enjoy

Time 1h15m

Number Of Ingredients 8

6 c fresh or frozen peaches
3/4 c sugar
1 1/2 stick real butter
1 1/2 c flour
1 1/2 c sugar
2 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
3/4 c milk

Steps:

  • 1. Genourously coat a 9x13 pan with butter or pam. Mix peaches with 3/4 cups sugar and pour into pan. Dot top of fruit with 1/2 stick butter.
  • 2. Beat remaining ingredients together until creamy and pour over peaches. Bake at 350 for 50-55 minutes.
  • 3. When using frozen fruit or fruit that is extremely juicy add 2 tablespoon of flour to the sugar that you mix in. I like to use this with cherries also but I increase the sugar I mix in to 1 cup.

This cobbler is a great way to use up leftover peaches. It's also a delicious and easy dessert that can be served warm or cold.

This cobbler was a disappointment. The peaches were mushy and the topping was too dry. I wouldn't recommend this recipe.
