Peach Cobbler image

Warm peach cobbler with ice cream on top?! Hard to beat in our book! Using bread in this easy peach cobbler makes this unique. It soaks up all the sweet, buttery flavor. The topping has a crispy shell while the peaches stay warm and soft. Super easy to make, whip this up the next time you have a craving for cobbler.

Number Of Ingredients 6

1 can(s) sliced peaches, drained (29 oz)
5 slice white bread (can use white or honey wheat bread)
1 1/2 c sugar
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 egg, beaten
1 stick margarine or butter, melted

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place peaches in a baking dish (8x8 or larger) that has been sprayed with cooking spray.
  • 2. Cut crust from bread and cut each slice into five strips. Place bread strips over peaches.
  • 3. Mix sugar, flour, egg, and margarine, blending well. Pour mixture over bread strips, making sure they are well covered.
  • 4. Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown.
