I love hot, homemade bread of all kinds. Here is something that I created using my Classic Dinner Roll recipe and kicking it up a little bit. These are great served with spaghetti or your favorite soup or stew.

Steps:
- 1. Combine 3/4 cup flour, sugar, undissolved yeast and salt in a large bowl.
- 2. Heat milk, water and butter until very warm (120º to 130ºF).
- 3. Add to flour mixture. Beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer, scraping bowl occasionally.
- 4. Add 1/4 cup flour; beat 2 minutes at high speed. Stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough.
- 5. Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cover; let rest 10 minutes.
- 6. Divide dough into 14 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a 10-in. rope and tie into a knot; tuck ends under. Place 2 in. apart on a greased baking sheet.
- 7. Cover; let rise in warm, draft-free place until doubled in size, about 30 minutes.
- 8. Bake at 400° for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown.
- 9. In a large bowl, combine the remaining ingredients; brush the warm knots with the mixture.
- 10. Serve warm with your favorite spaghetti, soup or stew.

broken.a16@gmail.comThese Parmesan knots were a bit of a disappointment. The dough was too sticky to work with and the knots didn't hold their shape very well. The flavor was also bland. I won't be making these again.
