Papas (Portuguese Porridge) image

My mother inlaw makes this for my kids and they love it. It's nice to have on a chilly morning for breakfast to warm your tummy, or maybe as a little snack before bed.

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 1/2 c milk
8 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp sugar
1/8 tsp salt
cinnamon

Steps:

  • 1. -Mix milk, sugar, and salt into a sauce pan. -Bring to a boil. -SLOWLY sift flour in while continuously whisking vigorously to avoid clumping. -Mixture will thicken. Turn off heat and remove from stove top once the porridge is thick and creamy. Sprinkle generously with cinnamon. Serve while warm. Enjoy!
