Oven Fried Fish image

I'm not sure where I found this recipe, but I'm so glad I did! These are very simple to make and so delicious, you'll never miss fried fish! We're do not diet nor are we watching calories, or frankly do we even worry at all about healthy eating in this house, but still, we love this fish, and I'm always surprised I'm eating...

Number Of Ingredients 11

2 lb flounder or other white fish filets
1 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 c milk
2 dash(es) hot sauce
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
1 c corn flake crumbs
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 fresh lemon, cut into slices

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 475 degrees
  • 2. place fish on a plate and pour lemon juice over it. let soak for a moment.
  • 3. In a shallow dish, combine milk, hot sauce, and garlic. In a second dish, combine pepper, salt, onion powder, and cornflake crumbs.
  • 4. Dip fish in milk mixture and roll in corn flake crumbs. Arrange on a baking dish, prepared with cooking spray.
  • 5. Bake for 20 minutes on middle rack without turning.
  • 6. Garnish with fresh lemon.
