I was a Longaberger consultant, and this recipe was one that another consultant shared to help sell the Grandma Bonnie's Pie Plate. However, you only need a deep pie plate to make this wonderful pie in, and it is sure to empty out quickly. Every place I take it, you have to watch your fingers because it gets out of the pie plate...

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 c finely crushed oreos
1/4 c butter or margarine, melted
2 c cold milk
2 pkg chocolate pudding mix
8 oz cool whip, thawed and divided
2 c coarsely chopped oreos

Steps:

  • 1. Mix 2 cups crushed oreos and butter; press into the bottom and up the sides of Grandma Bonnie's Pie Plate. Pour milk into large bowl. Add pudding mixes and beat with wire whisk for 2 minutes (mixture will be thick). Spoon 1 1/2 cup of pudding into the prepared crust. Gently stir 1/2 of the cool whip into the remaining pudding. Spread this mixture over the pudding already in the crust. Stir chopped oreos into the remaining cool whip and then spread it over the pudding mixture. Refrigerate for 4 hours or until set. Garnish as desired.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but my pie turned out a complete disaster. The crust was burnt, and the filling was curdled. I guess I'll have to try again.

This pie was a bit of a disappointment. The Oreo crust was soggy, and the chocolate filling was too runny. I wouldn't recommend this recipe.

I had some trouble getting the pie crust to set properly, but the pie still tasted good. The chocolate filling was rich and decadent, and the Oreo cookies added a nice crunch.

This pie was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it was still good. I liked the Oreo crust, and the chocolate filling was creamy and smooth.
