Orange Temptation Parfait image

Ma was diabetic, so we had to find recipes that would cure her craving for sweet, without causing her problems. My stepmom found this worked well...

Number Of Ingredients 9

1/2 c thawed cool whip
1/4 c plain yogurt
1 tsp honey
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1 pkg sugar free orange jello (4 serving size)
3/4 c boiling water
ice cubes
3/4 c diced orange sections (she got canned mandarin oranges)

Steps:

  • 1. Blend 1/4 c cool whip, yogurt, honey and spices. Set aside. Dissolve jello in boiling water. Combine water and ice to make 1 1/4 cups. Add to jello; stir until slightly thickened. Remove any unmelted ice. Place orange sections in glasses. Top with yogurt mixture and then thickened jello. Chill until soft set, 30 min. Garnish with remaining cool whip.
