Orange Strawberry Shortcake image

Very good. I did the strawberries and baked the cake part and beat the whipping cream and took all parts to my sisters house and it was easy to put together after dinner. Very good and its a little different, I love shortcake. From Southern Living Magazine. Fruit needs to chill a couple of hours.

This recipe was a disaster! The cake was dry and crumbly, the strawberries were sour, and the whipped cream was runny. I'm not sure what went wrong, but I will definitely not be making this recipe again.

This recipe was a bit too complicated for me. I had to make several substitutions, and the end result wasn't as good as I had hoped. I think I'll stick to a simpler strawberry shortcake recipe next time.
