ORANGE PECAN SALAD image

Number Of Ingredients 13

2 heads bibb lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
1 10oz package fresh spinach, torn into bite-size pieces
2 sectioned fresh oranges
1/2 medium red onion, sliced & separate into rings
1/2 cup pecans, sauteed with teaspoon of butter
Dressing:
1 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup white vinegar, 1/2 cup sugar (or less to taste)
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon grated onion
1 teaspoon celery seeds

Steps:

  • - lay down bed of lettuces - cut orange sections in half, arrange on lettuce - after briefly sauteing pecans, sprinkle into salad - lay onion rings on top - mix ingredients of dressing into vessel of choice - shake and dress just prior to serving
