Onion Patties image

This recipe was shared at our old recipe site by a wonderful lady who called herself Betty Boop. Every recipe she shared was fantastic.

Number Of Ingredients 8

3/4 c all purpose flour
1 Tbsp yellow cornmeal
1 Tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3/4 c milk
2 1/2 c finely chopped onions
1/2 c canola oil for frying

Steps:

  • 1. Mix dry ingredients, then add milk. Batter should be fairly thick. Add onions and mix thoroughly. Drop by TB into 1/2" of hot oil in skillet. Flatten slightly when you turn them. Brown on both sides until crisp. *Tastes like onion rings.
